The Municipal Investment and Tourism Officer leads the office in promoting investment opportunities, supporting tourism programs, developing local attractions, coordinating with stakeholders, and encouraging business and tourism-related initiatives within the municipality.

Through investment facilitation, tourism planning, destination promotion, cultural preservation, and partnership-building, the office helps strengthen New Corella’s local economy and tourism identity.

Mandate

The Municipal Investment and Tourism Office is mandated to encourage, promote, and develop tourism and investment as major socio-economic activities to generate employment, increase local revenue, and spread economic benefits to the local population. It proactively works to attract domestic and foreign investments to the municipality, formulates and updates Local Investment Priorities Plans consistent with development and zoning plans, recommends and helps implement ordinances granting tax exemptions and incentives to new or expanding businesses, streamlines business permit and licensing procedures, supports the development of commercial and industrial areas, promotes full employment among residents, prepares and updates tourism development plans, develops and promotes local tourist attractions, products, and services, preserves cultural heritage and arts, ensures tourism standards and accreditation coordination, encourages community awareness and participation in tourism, coordinates with barangays, agencies, organizations, and the private sector, and performs other duties required by law or ordinance.
