The Municipal Treasurer leads the office in ensuring proper custody, management, and disbursement of government funds. The office also oversees the collection of local taxes, fees, charges, business taxes, real property taxes, and other revenues necessary to support the programs and services of the municipality.

Through prudent fiscal management and taxpayer-oriented service, the Municipal Treasury Office helps create a responsible, service-driven, and business-friendly local government environment.

Mandate

The Municipal Treasury Office is mandated to keep custody and manage LGU funds, oversee their disbursement, and collect local revenues. It takes custody and exercises proper management of LGU funds and other funds entrusted to it; manages the disbursement of government funds; collects local taxes, fees, charges, business taxes, real property taxes, and other service fees; inspects private commercial and industrial establishments to ensure compliance with local tax ordinances; maintains and updates the tax information system of the LGU; and performs other duties required by law or ordinance.
