The Indigenous Peoples / Tribal Affairs Coordinator leads the section in coordinating concerns, programs, and activities related to Indigenous Peoples and tribal communities. The office works with barangays, tribal leaders, community representatives, local offices, schools, organizations, and partner agencies to support inclusive and culturally sensitive service delivery.
Through coordination, cultural promotion, community assistance, and stakeholder engagement, the section helps ensure that Indigenous Peoples and tribal communities are heard, respected, and included in local development.

Mandate
The Indigenous Peoples / Tribal Affairs section supports the Municipal Government of New Corella in coordinating programs, services, and concerns involving Indigenous Peoples and tribal communities. It assists in promoting cultural preservation, community participation, welfare support, documentation, referrals, and coordination with appropriate offices and agencies. It helps ensure that programs and services are delivered in a respectful, inclusive, and culturally sensitive manner while supporting the protection of Indigenous identity, traditions, and community welfare.

An inclusive and culturally respectful New Corella where Indigenous Peoples and tribal communities are empowered, represented, and supported in preserving their identity, traditions, rights, and role in local development.

Mission
To promote the welfare, participation, and cultural preservation of Indigenous Peoples and tribal communities by providing coordination support, strengthening community engagement, assisting in access to government services, supporting cultural programs, and working with tribal leaders, barangays, agencies, and stakeholders.

The Indigenous Peoples / Tribal Affairs section aims to contribute to improved coordination of Indigenous Peoples-related programs, stronger cultural preservation, better access to government services, increased community participation, strengthened partnerships with tribal leaders and agencies, and more inclusive local governance.
