Office Head

The Women Section supports the municipal government in implementing programs and services that promote the welfare, protection, participation, and empowerment of women in New Corella. The section helps strengthen gender-responsive initiatives, support services, advocacy campaigns, and coordination with barangays, partner agencies, and community organizations.

Mandate

The Women Section is mandated to support programs, services, and advocacy initiatives that promote women’s welfare, gender equality, protection from violence and discrimination, livelihood opportunities, leadership participation, and inclusive community development within the Municipality of New Corella.

An empowered, protected, and active community of women in New Corella where every woman has equal access to opportunities, support services, leadership participation, and a safe environment for growth and development.

To promote women empowerment, gender equality, and inclusive participation in community development.

To support programs and services that protect the rights, welfare, and dignity of women.

To assist in the implementation of advocacy campaigns against violence, discrimination, and abuse.

To coordinate with barangays, municipal offices, partner agencies, and women’s organizations in delivering responsive services.

To support livelihood, leadership, health, and capacity-building programs for women.

To contribute to a safer, more inclusive, and gender-responsive Municipality of New Corella.
