Municipal General Services Officer

The Municipal General Services Officer leads the office in managing general support services, property and supply records, equipment coordination, office logistics, records-related support, and facility-related concerns of the local government.

Through responsible property management, coordinated support services, and proper documentation, the Municipal General Services Office helps ensure that LGU resources are used efficiently, safely, and in accordance with government rules and procedures.

Mandate

The Municipal General Services Office supports the general administrative, logistical, property, supply, and support service needs of the Municipal Government of New Corella. It assists in maintaining and updating records of government properties, supplies, and equipment; coordinates property accountability and documentation; supports records management and disposal procedures; helps ensure proper use, care, and safekeeping of government assets; assists in facility and equipment-related coordination; and provides general support services necessary for efficient local government operations.

To provide effective general support services by managing government properties, supplies, records, equipment, facilities, and logistical requirements with accountability, transparency, and efficiency for the benefit of LGU offices and the people of New Corella.

Core Functions

The office coordinates the management, issuance, monitoring, and proper utilization of office supplies and materials required by LGU offices while providing logistical, clerical, facility-related, and administrative support services to ensure the efficient day-to-day operations of the municipal government. It also assists in the creation, protection, maintenance, preservation, disposal, and archival coordination of official records in accordance with applicable records management policies and standards.
