Revenue District Officer / BIR Representative
The Revenue District Officer or assigned BIR representative leads the local tax administration services in assisting taxpayers, implementing tax laws, supporting registration and compliance, processing tax-related transactions, and coordinating with the Municipal Government, business owners, professionals, establishments, and the public.
Through taxpayer assistance, registration support, tax compliance monitoring, and public information services, the Bureau of Internal Revenue helps promote responsible tax compliance and supports the development of New Corella and the nation.
Mandate
The Bureau of Internal Revenue is mandated to assess and collect all national internal revenue taxes, fees, and charges, and to enforce all related penalties, fines, and forfeitures as provided by law. It supports the government by ensuring proper tax administration, promoting taxpayer compliance, providing taxpayer services, implementing tax laws and regulations, and helping generate revenues for nation-building and public service delivery.
